This site is dedicated to the memory of Michael Fittock.

This Red Ribbon Fund is in memory of Michael Fittock and was set up by his mother, Maureen Fittock. Michael died on June 23 1993. His friend Dennis wrote this obituary. "Mike passed through to the other side peacefully and painlessly in the presence of his mother and father in Brentwood, Essex, England. Mike was born in Brentwood (on the outskirts of northeast London) where he attended Hogarth Junior School and Brentwood County High. He subsequently received his teaching degree from Warwick University in Coventry. After graduation, Mike pursued a career at Cedars Middle School in Harrow, happily challenged by 11 and 12 year olds. Mike loved to travel (Africa, North/Central/South America) and all who met him will remember his twinkling sapphire eyes, comforting smile and robust fervor for enjoying life. Many will remember him from the Eagle, where he was a rather mischevious bar-back for many months in 1989 before returning to England. Mike loved Mt.Tampalpais, the Russian River, Lake Tahoe, roses and hyacinths, raising a toast or two with good company, soft cuddly kittens, and leather. He made great chili and adored Indian cuisine, but absolutely nothing compared to his passion for Christmas! He is survived by his parents, Ray and Maureen; his sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and Ian; his niece Debbie and nephew Daniel; his boyfriend Graham, close friends Franco, Stevie and Michelle; and is greatly missed by his fellow teachers and students, Sharon and gang at the Eagle, and his wise and devoted cat, Mawg. In closing, I ask all of you to honor my friend Mike by loving one another and living in peace."
